The Hardware Support Specialist will primarily configure, order, support, image, and repair laptop, desktop, tablet, cell phones, and other peripheral equipment within the company. Support will be both direct and remote. This position will additionally be responsible for tracking all hardware assets as well as setting up a refresh plan and recovery of equipment. The position will review and prioritize requests through a work order management system providing effective communication with field personnel on timeframe and status of all tickets. Responds and resolves assigned work orders via phone, e-mail, or remote administration. Follow up on open items and outstanding issues through completion and escalate issues as appropriate.
A significant part of this role is understanding the management of hardware from configuration, mass preparation (imaging), and staying up to speed on new hardware technology. Effective communication is a must.
Minimum 2+ years of experience working in a hardware management environment providing preparation and direct support for hundreds, if not thousands of standardized devices. Must show ability to be dynamic, adapt, and independent with strong worth ethic to follow issues through complete resolution.
