  • Manage a staff of over 12 employees
  • Ensure safety compliance by overseeing OSHA, DOT and other compliance-related activities as they relate to the department
  • Collaborate with the Safety Department to ensure all vehicles meet safety standards
  • Collaborate with the Director of Assets when engaging in strategic planning and decision making related to asset purchasing, maintenance, repair and replacement
  • Manage and coordinate preventative maintenance activities
  • Direct and supervise Fleet Maintenance Supervisors
  • Coordinate outside repair and service
  • Evaluate and negotiate fleet service and supply agreements with vendors and suppliers
  • Maintain asset branding procedures
  • Provide leadership and management skills to staff
  • Build and manage departmental budget
  • Assist in identifying, recruiting, training and retention of Department staff
  • Account for all results; expenses, efficiency, utilization and facility satisfaction
  • Oversee current asset list of approximately 3,000 serialized assets with intent to increase to 5,000 serialized assets
  • Research, develop and implement new procedures and processes
  • Oversee Fleet Service Department, which includes prioritizing, scheduling and delegating asset repairs
  • Maintain relationships with outside vendors as needed
  • Manage the operations pertaining to dedicated transportation as it relates to fleet maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned




  • 3-5 years management experience or 4-year degree in business related field
  • Strong leadership, communication and coaching skills
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office prodcuts and Salesforce


Preferred Education and Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of Supervisory experience
  • Technical and managerial background
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Microsoft office experience
  • 5 years of fleet mechanical knowledge
