    The Billing Assistant is responsible for invoicing customers correctly, verifying information, and comparing contracts. The Billing Assistant will also assist in invoice dispute and resolution. This role will support and uphold AWP’s core values and mission of protecting our customers’ people, business, and time. This position will work directly with the Billing department and abide by company policies and procedures while delivering accurate and precise data.


    • Quickly and accurately verify field tickets, enter high volumes of data into the company system for billing purposes
    • Make adjustments and handle billing discrepancies
    • Validate, verify and compare contract agreements as needed
    • Provide excellent customer service, exceed customer expectations and provide customer with a positive experience
    • Act as a resource for other functions including billing, credit and collections
    • Learn and utilize proprietary internal software package
    • Answer phones and respond to inquiries using a professional and courteous demeanor
    • General office support and peer training when necessary
    • Comply with all AWP policies, procedures and safety requirements
    • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned



    • High school diploma or GED required
    • 1-3 years billing experience preferred
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Intense focus on accuracy and attention to detail; organized
    • Problem-solving skills
    • Critical thinking skills
    • Outgoing & assertive personality – not afraid to approach individuals
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Excel, Word)
    • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains and Salesforce software preferred
